Tyrese Surprised Wife with New Car for Her Loyalty

In the midst of all the drama in his life the past years, Tyrese Gibson found comfort in his wife, Samantha Gibson, who stood by his side no matter what. And to show his appreciation for her loyalty, he recently gifted her with a brand new car.

THE PAST AND FURIOUS

Tyrese’s fame came with a few hiccups. He started a public feud with his “Fast and Furious” co-star, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson by calling him “unprofessional” but later regretted that move and apologized. He also earned the ire of Black women when he criticized those who wore weaves and simultaneously lauded his biracial wife’s hair, another slip he apologized for later.

And then there’s the legal drama surrounding his ex-wife, Norma Gibson and the custody of their 11-year-old daughter, Shayla. The actor was even famously memed after he released a video of his meltdown over his wife’s accusations he was physically abusing their daughter.

THE PRESENT AND GRATEFUL

Through it all, Tyrese found a staunch ally in his wife, Samantha, who he married on Valentine’s Day in 2017. And as a way of thanking her, he recently surprised her with a lavish present – a brand new Land Rover Discovery.

"It wasn’t easy getting through the last year 1/2 and YOU STAYED LOYAL and loved me through it ALL," Tyrese wrote to caption the clip he shared revealing the moment he moved his wife to tears with his surprise gift.

"Because you deserve the whole world and everything that comes with it.... When I WIN you WIN!!!!!!!! Soraya needed a quick upgrade........ Love you SAMANTHA GIBSON WITH MY WHOLE HEART!!!!!! No specific occasion JUST BECAUSE!!!!!!"

Clearly, in awe of Tyrese’s sweet gesture in the clip, Samantha inspects her red present before asking her husband, “Why would you do this?”

Tyrese takes a pause before replying, “You’re loyal,” and they share a tearful hug.

In a succeeding clip, they bring in their 6-month-old daughter, Soraya who has no clue what’s going on as her father chants “hey, big mamas” to her.

SAMANTHA'S STRENGTH AND HUMILITY

Tyrese and Samantha welcomed Soraya in October after 30 hours of labor. The 40-year-old rapper/actor updated fans on the progress of the delivery as he shared clips and images on social media every step of the way. When their daughter finally arrived, Tyrese lauded his wife for her strength and being the “greatest mother of all time.”

There is clearly so much love between Tyrese and his wife that no amount of heartache and controversies could topple. Fans agree too that Tyrese has a keeper in Samantha. They were impressed with her humility accepting her husband’s present.
